Investment Entities: Applying the Consolidation Exception (Amendments to IFRS 10 Consolidated Financial Statements and IAS 28 Investments in Associates and Joint Ventures)


In December 2014 the IASB issued Investment Entities: Applying the Consolidation Exception (Amendments to IFRS 10, IFRS 12 and IAS 28) to clarify the following three issues associated with Investment Entities.

IFRS 10 Clarifying which subsidiaries of an investment entity are consolidated in accordance with paragraph 32 of IFRS 10
IFRS 10 Exemption from preparing consolidated financial statements for an indeterminate parent of an investment entity
IAS 28 Application of the equity method by a non-investment entity investor to an investment entity investee
