IFRS Conference Zurich

IFRS Foundation IFRS Conference in Zurich

30 June and 1 July 2016, Swissotel Zurich, Switzerland

The conference brings together leaders in financial reporting from the private sector, regulatory bodies and members of the International Accounting Standards Board (the Board), as well as accounting professionals and others with an interest in IFRS Standards.

It provides a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of the thinking behind the Board’s projects, and to hear about the future direction of financial reporting, directly from those responsible for setting the Standards.

Presenters include Hans Hoogervorst (IASB Chairman), IASB members—Martin Edelmann, Gary Kabureck, Sue Lloyd, Takatsugu Ochi and Mary Tokar—and a number of senior IASB technical staff, and other IFRS experts.

There will be expert panel discussions, dedicated to the consistent application of IFRS Standards and the future of corporate financial reporting issues during the conference.

Technical break out sessions conducted by IASB members and technical staff will provide a forum to discuss the implementation of the new IFRS Standards IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and IFRS 16 Leases. Other major projects on the Board’s active Agenda will also be examined in detail.

In addition, we are offering a pre-conference investor-focussed IFRS update workshop and a workshop where we will discuss how to improve communication in financial reports.
