Major upgrade to website—weekend of 10 June 2017

 02 June 2017

Over the weekend of 10 June 2017, our redesigned public website, www.ifrs.org, will go live. Website users may experience disruption to the service during this period.

The redesign follows detailed research to better understand users’ needs and identify the most highly valued content. The resulting fundamental restructuring offers an easy-to-use site that fully supports a range of devices, including desktops, tablets and mobile phones.

Changes to the site include:

  • The ability to ‘follow’ projects or topics, with updates on followed pages being displayed in a personal dashboard;
  • a single sign-on to all our services, including eIFRS, webcasts and the IFRS Foundation Online Shop;
  • a signup for email alerts for followed items, with the option of specifying the frequency of email delivery;
  • a new supporting implementation section with links to resources you can use for implementing recently issued IFRS Standards and applying others;
  • a new homepage, with a list of documents open for comments and bespoke sections for user groups, such as investors or academics;
  • redesigned current work plan, projects, and issued IFRS Standards pages;
  • an interactive map for browsing information about the use of IFRS Standards around the world; and
  • greater use of multimedia content, including the use of animated videos to explain the relevance of our work and the standard-setting process.

Because we store thousands of documents on our current server, we are migrating content to the new website in phases. Content yet to be migrated will remain in an archive of the current website, which will be available to access via archive.ifrs.org.

Registered users will be able to use their existing credentials to log in to the new public website, although they will need to re-specify which email alerts they wish to receive.
