Else Bos


After studying econometrics at the Erasmus university in Rotterdam, Ms Bos started a long career at the ABN and later ABN-AMRO bank in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. For almost 20 years she held many different positions in the bank, giving her detailed insight in the running of a large financial institution. In 2001, Else left ABN-AMRO bank to accept a senior management position at NIB Capital Asset Management.

In 2002, she joined PGGM Investments in Zeist, the Netherlands – first as COO and later as CEO. In 2008, PGGM became a pension service provider and the pension fund took a new name; PFZW. Ms Bos continued her role on the executive board of PGGM in different positions and became CEO in 2013.

Besides her position as CEO of PGGM, she holds several supervisory board positions. She is a member the Dutch Monitoring Committee for Corporate Governance, a board member of ICPM (Rothman International Centre for Pension Management) and the Pension Pacific Institute (PPI). From 2008 to 2015 she was a member of the board of United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
