Professor Xinyuan Chen


Professor Xinyuan Chen is the Vice President and Professor of Accounting at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He is also the deputy director of the China National MPAcc Education Steering Committee and is a member of the Accounting Society of China.

Professor Chen represents the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics on the IFRS Advisory Council. The Shanghai University of Finance and Economics is the first commercial college in China in modern education history. The university is best-known for its significant achievements in both education and research in the fields of economics, finance, business and management. It is ranked in the top 10 in China and in Asia in relevant areas.

Previously, Professor Chen was the Dean of the School of Accountancy at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and the Dean of the Institute of Accounting and Finance–one of the key research sites on social science under the Ministry of Education in China.

He has a Ph. D in Economics (Accounting).
